1How Consent Is Collected
Candidates enter their mobile phone number and check an unchecked SMS-consent checkbox as part of the job application form, before chattHR sends any SMS/text message. The checkbox is never pre-checked on the candidate’s behalf — it requires an affirmative action by the candidate.
A phone number by itself is not treated as consent to receive text messages. chattHR only sends SMS messages to a candidate’s number after that candidate has affirmatively checked the consent checkbox described above.
chattHR does not send messages to phone numbers obtained from purchased or scraped lists. Every recipient has opted in directly through the chattHR application process.
2Example of the Opt-In Flow
See a rendered example of the application form, including the unchecked consent checkbox as presented to candidates, at SMS Opt-In Example.
3Disclosure Text Presented at Checkbox
The following disclosure is displayed next to the consent checkbox on the application form, verbatim:
By checking this box and submitting this application, I agree to receive SMS/text messages from chattHR about my job application, interview screening questions, scheduling, and recruiting updates for the role I applied to. Message frequency varies based on my responses and hiring stage. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
